The three listed above are, in my opinion, critical to helping a person become a leader -- in the true sense of the word -- and avoid becoming a &#039;pusher&#039; who tries to drive people to do what he/she wants. -Michael</description>

		<description>I would add a fourth characteristic worth developing: creativity. Having the courage, willingness and ability to think outside the box may not be considered essential, but it will help a person make an indelible mark as a truly transformational leader.</description>
